Chalk Gallery in Lewes is run by 15 local artists and they accept submissions from  artists interested in joining the team as soon as there is a vacancy. Throughout the year the Gallery also runs a programme of Guest Artists who are invited to exhibit in the gallery for the period of invites of one of the galleries exhibitions (normally 9 weeks).

The benefits of being featured as a Guest Artist are cited as; being included in the accompanying publicity and a page on the website and inclusion in the galleries email newsletter.

The space offered for 2D work is approximately 1 m wide by 1.5 m high plus 4 items in the gallery’s browser. The space for 3D is for approximately 5 or 6 pieces. The fee is £200.

Applications by a guest artist should be made by a submission to the gallery with the following; 6 – 8 web-ready jpg images (approx. 500KB) of the type of work you would like to exhibit including title, medium, dimensions and price for each piece, a CV/artist statement and a link to your website and social media platforms.
